Madison Theatre launches its Signature Series of musicals with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights" about life in New York’s Washington Heights. Set in 16th century England, the show uses the songs of ‘80s hit makers The Go-Go’s to tell a story of inclusivity, gender fluidity, love and respect. They got the beat at Gateway Playhouse with the Long Island premiere of the quirky musical “Head Over Heels,” which had a far too brief Broadway run in 2018.
